Entrepreneur

Nancy’s work with a physical therapy practice led her to create an online community for pediatric private practice owners, a profession she felt was noble yet grossly undersupported. Thus, with Survival Strategies, Inc. as its sponsor, Peds-A-Palooza™ Community & Conferences was born.

The Entrepreneur

Public Speaker

Since the first grade, Nancy was often in trouble for talking at school and trying to get to know everyone in her classroom. Eventually, Nancy found a way to turn her talking punishment into profit and became a stand-up comic but, after 17 years of comedy gigs, she decided there were better ways to help people. Therefore, she changed career paths to become a professional public speaker.

Through her career as a speaker, Nancy has addressed thousands of attendees at seminars and conferences. She’s also been interviewed on radio shows reaching tens of thousands of listeners.

Advocate

Nancy’s drive to help others has led her to projects and roles with the aim of bettering life on this planet. She combined her street smarts and love for mankind by becoming a Withdrawal Specialist through a renowned international rehab to provide support for those starting rehab programs. In that role, she has helped both teens and young adults withdraw from alcohol and deadly drugs like heroin and crystal meth. She further mentored some of these individuals to keep them on a drug-free path.

Nancy’s Story: “It’s All for You”

When I was little, we were very poor, so my father took us to every free event he could find. Every year, we’d go to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. We never had clothes that were warm enough, but we didn’t care because we loved the parade so much. I vividly remember my dad putting me on his shoulders while he held my hands in the cold.

Shortly after my dad died some thirty years ago, I was contemplating embarking on another risk-taking entrepreneurial adventure. In the midst of worrying about whether or not I could make a go of it, I had a vivid dream about him which has stayed with me all this time. In the dream, he and I were in a gorgeous high-rise overlooking the Hudson River. We were eating these fabulous, delicious pastries. In those posh surroundings, we watched the Thanksgiving Day parade together, with the huge, vibrant floats passing by at eye-level. It was such a total departure from what my childhood was really like. In the dream, my dad looked at me and said, “It’s all for you. Everything is for you.”

I remember thinking, that’s what I want for all of us. I want everyone to see that the good things in life are for them.

Just remember, it’s all for you.

XOXO
